Summer Camp- Week 1 (Monday, July 4 – Friday, July 8, 2022)
Time: 9 A.M. – 3 P.M.

Note: All activities are done outdoors. Snacks and lunch are included in this camp.
Theme: Cooking
There are five days in this camp. The children will learn the fundamental skills in order to create a three-part meal from scratch every day: appetizer, main course, and dessert.
They will also learn about:
- The different tools used in the kitchen
- The different modes of preparing the ingredients (chop, dice, slice, etc.)
- Manners at the table
- Common food etiquette from around the world
- Nutritious facts of the food
- Setting and decorating the table
The week will also include games, activities, and books related to the overall theme of the week. On the final day, children will choose a dish to make for their families to take home and celebrate their culinary success. This task will also include setting and decorating the table (pictures of this will be available on the website).

Summer Camp- Week 2 (Monday, July 11 – Friday, July 15, 2022)

Theme: The outdoors
There are five days in this camp. The children will learn the fundamental skills involved in understanding the different components of both a traditional map and an interactive map.
They will learn about:
- Following directions
- Reading maps, which includes several treasure hunts with a partner/in a team
- Local geography
- Different cultural and geographical characteristics from around the world
The week will also include games, activities, and books related to the overall theme of the week. On the final day, children will learn how to create their own map that they will take home.
What to bring to camp:

Theme: Storytelling
There are five days in this camp. The children will learn the skills necessary to create and tell their own stories.
They will learn about:
- Prop making, including a felt board
- Sewing for their props
- How to use natural elements
- How to use props in order to make their story interactive
The week will also include games, activities, and books related to the overall theme of the week. On the final day, children will learn how to create and write their own story books to take home (pictures and/or videos of the final stories will be available on the website).

There are five days in this camp. The children will learn about the different components of digital photography, including perspective and basic editing.
They will learn about:
- Finding inspiration in the world around us
- How to express themselves through art
- The different parts of the camera
- Things to consider when taking a photo
The week will also include games, activities, and books related to the overall theme of the week. Children will take photographs of given categories throughout the week. On the final day, they will create collages with some of their printed photos (they will choose these themselves) and different art media.

Summer Camp- Week 5 (Monday, August 2 – Friday, August 5, 2022)

There are four days in this camp. The children will learn the fundamental tools involved in the practice of yoga.
They will learn about:
- Breathing techniques
- Themselves and their surroundings
- Teamwork and collaboration through team sport
- The creation of art in dynamic ways
The week will also include games, activities, and books related to the overall theme of the week. On the final day, children will create a collaborative piece of art using different media (pictures of the collaborative art piece will be available on the website).

There are five days in this camp. The children will learn about the different steps involved in construction in order to create their own structure.
They will learn about:
- How to make a blueprint before they build a model home
- The history of structures
- The different materials needed in construction
- How to design their model home once completed
The week will also include games, activities, and books related to the overall theme of the week. Throughout the week, the children will go through the process of building their own model home. Children then create a neighbourhood with their model homes.

There are five days in this camp. The children will learn the fundamental skills necessary to make baked goods, including: breads and desserts.
They will learn about:
- The different tools used in the kitchen for baking
- The different types of ingredients by engaging with all of their senses
- Measurements and weight
- The design of baked goods
The week will also include games, activities, and books related to the overall theme of the week. On the final day, children will choose a baked good to make for their families to take home and celebrate their culinary success.

Theme: Living things
There are five days in this camp. The children will learn about the different types of living things around us and where to find them.
They will learn about:
- Life on a farm, including farm animals and plants
- How to take care of animals, including the food they eat
- Animals and their babies
- Foraging in local forests
The week will also include games, activities, and books related to the overall theme of the week. On the first day of the week, children will plant a vegetable or an herb and care for it throughout the week. On the final day, they will be able to take the plant home to continue with their care.
